ASCE Takes a Trip to ATREL

Recently a group of ASCE members traveled to the Advanced Transportation Research Engineering Laboratory in Rantoul to tour the facilities. Professor Roesler showed us around the various buildings. He showed us past and ongoing research, as well as various products developed by professors in the transportation specialty. The highlight of the trip was the ATLAS testing platform. We all had a great time and look forward to seeing more
of the achievements of our civil engineering department.

Member of the Month: Nick Muzzatti

Nick has been very active in the concrete canoe. He has attended paddling practices, spent the day milling out the cross-sections,
and worked on the mix design. Nice work Nick!

CRANE BAY BOWL 2003

The most exciting bowl game of the season is already behind us, and the score has finally been settled between ASCE’s Co-Ed flag football team and the all men’s team.  The Men’s team put on an exceptional performance considering they were short a few players, luckily the refs came to the rescue and joined their team.  Although they played well, they were inevitably crushed by the Co-Ed team, who showed no mercy in their 32-14 defeat over the guys.   The Co-Ed team proudly excepted the Newmark Cup, which will be on display for all to view in the ASCE display case in north crane bay.
