Spring Semester

3rd General Meeting on Wednesday, May 6 at 6PM @1310 DCL. Elections for the board will be held at the meeting as well. The positions open this semester are:

Internal Vice President,

EC/EOH Chair (2 positions),

Outreach chair,

Social chair,

Freshman Committee chair,

Historian (1 semester only)

Anyone interested in running for a position should come to the ice cream social.

About Our Chapter

Founded in 1921, the UIUC student chapter of ASCE is one of the largest in the nation. With a membership base of over 250 student and faculty members, it is not difficult to find talented members within our ranks. One of our many responsibilities is to organize society meetings featuring prominent guest speakers from industrial, educational, and government institutions. We also organize note sales, doughnut days in the crane bay, intramural sports events, society social events, community service projects, and various field trips to construction sites and municipal facilities. ASCE also sponsors the efforts of many student projects and competitions like the Concrete Canoe and the Steel Bridge. Unique to the University of Illinois is ASCE's support of Engineering Open House. During this event, students get the opportunity to show off their projects to the public. Our chapter is committed to reaching out and responding to the concerns and needs of all of our members. More general information about ASCE can be found on the national website.
